Extrajudicial dispute resolution methods (or simply Alternative Dispute Resolution – ADR) encompass a wide range of methods that can be used in isolation or in combination (hybrid and escalated clauses). The most widely used methods, both domestically and internationally, are mediation and arbitration. However, conciliation, negotiation and Dispute Prevention and Resolution Committees (Dispute Boards – DBs) are also methods encompassed by the Multi-Door Court concept. The Brazilian Center for Mediation and Arbitration – CBMA is uniquely positioned within the domestic and international conflict ecosystem, as it was founded by relevant stakeholders (FIRJAN, ACRJ and FENASEG). We are a renowned institution with vast expertise in dispute resolution. We operate as a management institution for mediation, arbitration and Dispute Board services.
